So I have been trying to post a blog now for the past several weeks. I have to start with what I may call a cover blog just because of the circumstances in which things happen and a need to share. Today is the start of my vacation in the Smoky Mountains. Waking up to see the sun spilling over the tops of the mountains is inspiring to say the least. Then to step out on to the deck and into a hot tub with my wife and best friend next to me is nothing short of perfect.
The beginning of this year has been a journey I never wanted to take, never expected to take, and yet I praise God for taking me thru all of it. The past six months have been emotional, physical, testing on relationships, and in some ways scary, lonely, and at times questionable. In later blogs I will expand and share how God is, has, and will always be in control of every part of the past six months. For right now, I am going to sit and enjoy the sites and sounds that God has me surrounded in. Relax, recharge, reconnect, and relish, all He has blessed me with. A wife who loves me unconditionally; family that are a blessing and a joy to be around; and friends that put a smile on my face and a laugh in my gut! God is way too good to me!!!
